Hornby x SGB Charity Auction Raises Over £11,000.  Beatles Bus and E-Type Jag Stamps Take Centre Stage!

 

A Corgi Beatles Tour Bus pre-production sample of an unannounced model that never went into full production fetched £1,140 (including fees) for charity. The model, Timed to commemorate the 60th anniversary of The Beatles first tour of the USA in truly unique and far exceeded it's £120 estimate! Another undoubted highlight was a stunning , unique 1966 6d British Technology, block of six stamps featuring an e-Type Jaguar which sold for £1320 including fees

Both were was sold during a collaboration between Stanley Gibbons Baldwin's and Hornby Hobbies in aid of charities including Sandcastle Trust, Mind, Models for Heroes, Mission Motorsport, The Children’s Trust and Hope for Tomorrow..    In total, over £11,000 was raised for charity, a real highlight of an exciting two day take over of the Stanley Gibbons Shop by the Hornby Hobbies team!
